The Prepared Prepper's Wishlist: Water Water Water

  
The Prepared Preppers Wishlist is a list of items that I think any prepper would benefit from or be able to use.

You know what's important for survival? Water. Water is one of the most, if not the most, important things you need to survive. 

Research says you can live up to 50 days without food, as long as you have water. But you can only live 3 days without water. 

Here are a few items that would help make sure that you don't.. You know.. Die of dehydration.

Water purification tablets: Honestly I have these everywhere. I put some in my purse, in my car, several in our B.O.Bs... As long as you have something to put the water in and any kind of water source then you can drink.

These four here have the best reviews. 

Water filters: We have a couple water filtration straws that we keep in our B.O.Bs and then a couple we keep in the car. With those we don't need a container to drink out of, we can just put the straw right into the water and drink. It might not always taste the best, but it'll be clean water. There is also water bottles that have the filter built in. 

Collapsible water bottles: I love these, because you can put them anywhere and you'll always have something to drink out of. It's small and compact and always available. 

Emergency water filtration system: This isn't exactly something compact to carry with you, more something to keep at your house or on your homestead in case you need to filter water, it'll be up and ready.

Canned water: Now this might sound weird, but water does "expire" it can get contagions and gross stuff in the bottles, so you really want something that will keep all yuckies out. And we all know canned food can last, so why not water?

Last but not least.... Rain water collection system: Now some states it's actually illegal to collect rain water. I really don't understand why but it is. So just make sure about that before you start trying it. But it's a great natural way to make sure you always have water.
