2025 Goals

Here are the goals that we have for 2025! I'm trying to keep them simple and something I can definitely do. Finn on the other hand is very optimistic.

For me:
Be healthy. Be able to walk without getting winded, especially when doing photography, so I want to go for a walk at least once a day
Setting a schedule for myself that I can mostly follow.
Sell at least $500 worth of product a month
Book at least 15 shoots a month
Lesson plan for a month ahead
Keep up with house work
Read my bible more
Make God a priority

For Finn:
Eat healthier (Mostly cut out stuff that cause his ADHD to flair up)
Go on walks at least once a day
Better schedule
Take him to more social events
I have my 2025 homeschool resolutions post too, I'll go more into school stuff.

For June:
Take her to more social events
Get her off bottles
Make sure she's eating right
Put her in gymnastics

Finn's for himself:
Cook more
Go on more walks
Do at least one brain break a day
Get to second class in scouts
Get 12 merit badges
Finish all school within 3 Hours
Read at least 50 books
Learn the guitar
Volunteer once a month

What are some of your goals for 2025?

Top Ten Tuesday: 2025 Bookish Goals

Top Ten is an original feature/weekly meme originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl that features a great bookish top ten every week.

My bookish goals for 2025.

1
Read AT LEAST one book every month.
I say that because a few months last year I didn't read.

2
Read 200 books in 2025
Should be easy... Right?

3
Read more off my physical TBR
I'm slowly working through my physical TBR, but I want to do more.

4
Read the bible more
I feel so lost when I'm not surrounding myself in God's word.

5
Do more reviews
I get really behind... So...

6
Post to my bookstagram/booktok more
I wanna be tiktok famous too! Jk, but I do like to post and get reactions to the posts.

7
Read to June more
We read to Finn so much when he was a baby and toddler and we haven't read as much to June.

8
Finish the Spring, Summer, and Fall reading challenge
I've only ever finished the reading challenge once. I've love to do three this year.

9
Comment on more blogs. Be more active in the blogging community.
I wanna make some frands.

10
Find a bookclub to join
I have one but I never go. I'd love to go more.

2022 Goals + January TBR

I have several goals for 2022. I feel like that's how it is every year, have goals, don't meet them, give up halfway through the year, and then try again at the start of the new year. But not this time. I am bound and determined this year. I won't bore y'all with the "new year new me" BS or the "this will be my year" BS. I'm just going to do it and keep y'all updated.

So here are my biggest goals!

Lose 100 pounds. I know it seems like a lot, but there will be even more to lose, that's just my goal.

Be able to run... I don't know if I necessarily have a goal of how much I want to be able to run, but as of now I can barely walk without feeling like death.. So yes to be able to run at all.

I want to work out at least 5 days a week for 1 hour each day. Plus a one mile walk twice a day.

Adopt! We want to adopt by the end of the year. We are really hoping to adopt siblings. A little boy Finn's age and then a boy or girl younger would be a blessing. But really we're happy with wherever God leads us at this point.

Get ready to move out to my grandparents property. If we can move out there in 2022 will depend on so much, and this isn't a complete goal. I'm okay with beginning to mid of 2023 as well, but it would be awesome to be able to move out there this year.

Read 200 books.  I want to try to read outside of my regular genres, but you know, you have favorite genres for a reason. That's just what you like, so we'll see about that. But yes 200 books, I have at least 4 challenges I'm trying to finish.

Finish at least one movie series and one TV series a month. At least.

Keep things cleaned and organized. This is something I definitely struggle with. Between being tired, my ADD, being busy with being a teacher, trying to finish movies and books, keeping up with orders, and well.. everything else I have going on, this is hard. But, I know I can do it. Now hopefully I can get help from the others who live with me.

Drink water or unsweetened tea 90% of the time. I want to cut out sodas completely and energy drinks. But energy drinks are hard. I get headaches if I don't have caffeine and I don't like coffee. But I'm wanting to cut as much out as I can. My goal is 120 ounces of water a day.

Aaaand the last goal, I also don't know if I'll hit this one, because I have a lot of other things to focus on, especially money wise. But I'd love to go on a backpacking trip out of state. An adult only, week long trip. Maybe to New Mexico? I have to start with hour long hikes and then day trips and work up to backpacking. But I really really want to.

Let's start with books now! Here are the challenges I want to finish.

A to Z reading challenge (This is 2021 but I'm sure they'll update for 2022)

So that's it so far. I love reading challenges so I might end up adding more!

Here is my TBR for January. I'm starting off with quite a few on the list. I'm hoping to get 3/4 done.

Weekly Wrap Up December 26th, 2021- January 1st, 2022

Weekly Wrap Up December 26th, 2021- January 1st, 2022

It's been a pretty chill week for the most part. Me and Finn binge watched Cobra Kai and then started Lost in Space. I started binging T@gged on Netflix, and me and John started binging the Scream TV show.
John and I also started our movie marathon of the month, which is Child's Play. So my goals this month is finish Child's Play, T@gged, Scream TV series, and Lost in Space.
We did a lot of cleaning, started organizing, I started this blog, started journaling. And that's about it.
On the New Year my best friend and her kiddos came over. We had a good time and rang in the new year together, it was wonderful.
Other than that we took down our Christmas decorations, did laundry, and well that was about it.

On the blog this week:
