What it's about: 

A woman who raised herself in the marshes of the Deep South becomes a suspect in the murder of a man with whom she was once involved.

What I thought:

I haven't read the book yet, but I absolutely loved the movie. It made me feel so much, anger with the father and with her boyfriend, sadness for her, there were swoon-worthy parts. It had me completely sucked in. The mystery had me needing to know what happened and I didn't know what to believe or who to believe.
