Hello and happy New Year!!
Let's see if I can remember 2024 because whew! SO much happened and I feel like it was 5 years in one while simultaneously feeling like it was only 2 months long. How is that possible?

This past year in...
January
In January we were supposed to have our adoption date but there was a mix up and we had to move it. It was disheartening but we knew it would still happen.
We decided to still keep her adoption party the same day, even if it hadn't happened yet. It was a HUGE party and everyone came. The house was full and it made us so happy to see so many people there not only support us and the adoption, but see how many people love June too.

We went to the Bob Bullock Museum for homeschool day, June turned 8 months, we had a freeze, got a new car, Finn's hair was super long, and apparently Finn's hamster has seen some sh*t (See photos below)
February
February was a busy month, a lot of homeschool events, an emo valentines party, comic con, valentines day, June turned 9 months, Finn cut his hair off, we had family photos done, we saw Lisa Frankenstein in theaters (Highly suggest), and we got to meet our new niece, Avery.
March
March brought my 31st birthday, me and John's 7th wedding anniversary, worship in the park, June's first Easter, Finn got to meet a capybara, June turned 10 months,
April
In April we had a total solar eclipse, June turned 11 months, we went to the renaissance fair, we visited my grandparents where Finn played chess with my brother, Finn graduated from cub scouts to boy scouts, and last but certainly not least, we finalized the adoption for June! She is officially ours.
May
In May Juniper turned 1! My mom did our family pictures, we had June's birthday party, one of our homeschool groups had a mother's day alice in wonderland tea party, we saw a hummingbird (Never seen one by our house before), Finn started his oddities collection, went on his first boy scout camp out, started serving in the coffee shop at church, had a book drive (He collected almost 3k books!!), and June got to swim for the first time.
June
Finn spent most of June with his dad, but they let us see him every week which was nice and made the month go by faster. His oddities collection grew, June had her first popsicle, and we rearranged her room. I was doing great with my reading challenge and was over halfway done. And June got to meet a cow.
July
4th of July, June started walking, Finn came home, we went to visit my grandparents, and our friends from Louisiana came to visit, Finn got an electric guitar as an early birthday present, we made June's first sensory bin, she was sorted into Hufflepuff, and I had my first ever boudoir shoot (Which has become one of my favorite type of sessions), and Finn started 6th grade! Oh and I cut all my hair off.
August
August is Finn's birthday month! He turned 11! John turned 30 (ha, old man), June got crocs, and her hair is long enough to put in piggytails now! Finn also had his Five Nights at Freddy's themed birthday party.
September
Started September off with a purge themed group photoshoot, had me and June's photos taken (Which I still haven't received the edited ones back like she's promised. Yes, I'm salty), June got a cow costume that looks just like one Finn had as a toddler, I had a boudoir shoot done! It was Ghostface themed in an abandoned house and was amazing. We had family photos done and got to eat part of an 8 foot pizza. I also painted spooky ghosty boys over an old painting we found at Goodwill.
October
October wasn't as crazy as it usually is. We went to a homeschool Halloween party (June was a cow girl. Not a cowgirl, but a cow, that is a girl.) We got to meet Jaxon (A family friend's rainbow baby), and Junie was so jealous. I painted some spooky stuff, we went to fredericksburg and the pumpkin patch, June got a remote car to sit in (For super cheap I might add), I started making glitter and bows. We decorated Halloween cookies and had a spooky day, visited ANOTHER pumpkin patch, we voted early, and then it was Halloween! The boys were zombies and me and June were witches.
November
November!
We went to the Day of the Dead festival, saw Santa (June is obsessed), June started to rep for small businesses, we had our first vendor event since I started back up with my photography and crafting. We decorated for Christmas, then it was Thanksgiving and we ended the month at my grandparents.
November is mostly taken up by planning for Thanksgiving I swear.
December
Yay December! Started the holiday month by going to a Winter Wonderland at our church, June got to meet and pet a bunch of new animals and was so excited, she did a lot more repping, we went to a birthday party, walked through a mini trail of lights at a park near our house, went to a bigger trail of lights with John's family, got to see Santa, again, did our annual christmas light scavenger hunt, of course Christmas came and went. Finn was with his dad this year so he didn't get to go to Christmas eve service with us for the first time in well.. ever. It was a rough Christmas. John took off from Christmas Eve until January 2nd so we got to have a nice staycation. And then New Years! June started 2025 off by vomiting. Yay.
2024 was a long year with so many ups and downs (mostly ups, thank God), and I hope 2025 is even more amazing.
How was your 2024? What are you looking forward to in 2025?
