Weekly Wrap Up: July 6th-12th
Life Stuff:
This week has been really really rough. We started school back up, Finn did school Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday when we were grocery shopping at Walmart I turned and looked at him and he was so flush, sweaty, kind of swaying and said he didn't feel good.
So I took him to urgent care and they tested EVERYTHING. With him being epileptic they didn't want to leave anything to chance. So they took blood, tested his poop (swabbed his butthole, he hated it but now I keep picking on him about it), urine sample, swabbed his nose, and even did a CT.
So I took him to urgent care and they tested EVERYTHING. With him being epileptic they didn't want to leave anything to chance. So they took blood, tested his poop (swabbed his butthole, he hated it but now I keep picking on him about it), urine sample, swabbed his nose, and even did a CT.
Found out that not only did he have rotavirus (stomach virus), he also had E. coli and they were concerned he had appendicitis, so we took an ambulance ride (The 4th one I've been on with him, kind of over it) to the children's hospital where they kept him over night and did an ultrasound, his pain level had gone down so they didn't think it was his appendix, so they sent us home. And by Thursday evening he was feeling a lot better.
Thursday was also the day that 6 years prior we had found out that our sweet rainbow baby, Henry, didn't have a heartbeat at 15 weeks gestation.
On top of that my great grandma passed away Thursday morning. It was a hell of a week and honestly by Friday I was just about done with it.
Friday we went and got dog food, walked around At Home and looked at their Halloween stuff and then checked in with our tattoo artist about getting Henry's footprints tattooed. I had planned on doing it Saturday, which was Henry's actually birthdate, but he didn't have availability. So we decided last minute that we were going to get them Friday night instead.
My mom and I both got Henry's footprints, I got a quote with mine that says "There is not a footprint too small..." It's supposed to also say "that it cannot make an imprint on this world" but it was too long to get tattooed. So I shortened it.
Mom got two more meeples added for June and Henry, and I got a raven, the Ice Nine Kills logo, and a kitchen knife on my fingers.
Saturday we ran some errands and finished a movie we started Friday night that I couldn't finish because I was exhausted.
Other than that, which seems like it wasn't much but it sure did feel like it was a whole year in just this week, we didn't do much. We didn't leave the house.
Coming up this week:
I have a photoshoot, we're getting back to school, we have a couple homeschool events, and that's about it.
The theme for July is National Parks and forest for my co-op/our morning baskets. So I'll be posting what I'm using for that.
Finn/June learned:
Finn learned to wash his hands after cleaning up dog poop so he doesn't get E. coli again.
June learned to sort her colors.

Oh wow. What a week. Glad Finn is doing better! And wow, he's getting so big! So is June!!
ReplyDeleteNice lineup of reads! I still need to read that Jenna Levine one and Fang Fiction! I LOOOVED Rules for Vanishing when I read it however many years ago! I remember it being pretty creepy and just loving it for that! Lol. The September House and Fang Fictions are also ones I wanted to read, I have the latter but never got the former.
Hope you enjoy the week ahead!
